Cycling, like driving, requires a specialist set of skills and responsibilities. Bicycle education provides the necessary riding skills and an awareness of road rules to help ensure riding is a safe and enjoyable experience. The following documents are offered to inform interested parties of the bicycle educations programs and guides currently available.

Cyclist skills training manual (New Zealand)

These guidelines, released by the NZ Transport Agency in July 2011, address cyclist training skills to prepare trainees to cycle confidently on the road. The guidelines have been developed to cater for a range of trainees and suit both school and adult training environments. The guidelines are based on a number of core skills to ensure that demonstrated ability is achieved.

Youth Bike Summit (USA)
