The report builds upon the research undertaken in New Zealand by Turner et al (2009). It uses statistical methods to quantify the safety effects of different types of cycle facilities. The study aims to better understand the effectiveness of different signalised intersection treatments for cyclists so that better guidance can be provided on the best practice provision for different types of intersections.
