Public transport ticketing incorporating folding bicycle hire (EU)

The Swiss Region Alps railway and the Belgium bus company TEC are both providing an option to hire a folding bicycle with an annual ticket.

The RegioBike hire program from Region Alps provides a folding bicycle for apprentices and people with an annual ticket. It costs apprentices 100 francs and ticket holders 200 francs a year.

The Cyclotec program from TEC combines a bus pass with the annual provision of a folding bike. Users need to be aged over 16. The annual bike and bus pass costs €180-200 depending on the user category and requires a deposit of €50. This price includes the rental of the foldable bicycle, maintenance and annual comprehensive insurance, including theft (with deductible of €30).
