Journey Planner

Cycling England has teamed up with Transport Direct to provide a national Cycle Journey Planner through the Transport Direct portal. Work has been successfully completed with a number of pilot areas, together with the Cycling City and Towns, the results of which may be viewed on the Cycle Journey Planner page of the Transport Direct website. Building on the lessons learnt from progress to date, the Cycle Journey Planner is now being extended to include other locations across England, with an initial focus on urban areas and the National Cycle Network. Match funding to cover the cost of generating and managing data for urban areas, for inclusion in the Cycle Journey Planner, is now being offered to all local authorities. A guide, Introducing the Cycle Journey Planner, has been produced, inviting local authorities to register an interest in this exciting initiative.
