GreenTRIP (USA)

GreenTRIP is a certification program run by TransForm based in California. The program rewards residential in-fill projects that apply comprehensive strategies to reduce traffic and greenhouse gas emissions. Projects meeting GreenTRIP certification criteria provide incentives for new residents to drive less and own fewer vehicles. In 2012 five developments had been awarded GreenTrip status.

By creating less driving and using less land for parking spaces, there’s also more space for shops, services, and affordable homes.

TransForm advocates for public transportation and walkable communities in the Bay Area and California.
