Cycling Scotland's Cycle Friendly Employer Award is run in conjunction with SHAW (Scotland's Health at Work), soon to be The Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives, and the Scottish Executive's Healthy Living campaign. The aim of the award is to give employers the incentive to achieve a nationally recognised award for promoting cycling in the workplace which will result in a variety of benefits for employers and employees alike. The award itself measures how cycle friendly an employer is against 3 areas, namely Infrastructure, Incentives and Promotion. This not only provides recognition for organisations but also guidance on best practice.
