Cycle Kyoto (Japan)

The Cycle Kyoto website is a bilingual reference for tourists and commuters, first-time visitors and long-time residents. The site has information about popular tourist routes for the temples and shrines, themed trail routes, safety information, bike laws and rental, accommodation and food, public baths, hiking, museums, weather, and more.

Kyoto is the spiritual, artistic, and cultural center of Japan. It is also the home to a thriving tourist industry, attracting nearly five million visitors in 2009. Cycle Kyoto has maps and tour notes for 15 popular routes and a number of other themed rides such as Creepy Kyoto, Literary Kyoto and the Way of Tea. Cycle Kyoto also plans to push for bike only lanes, better safety measures, and other issues to make Kyoto a truly cycling friendly city.
