City of Stirling Cycling Encouragement Programs (Australia)

The City of Stirling has an extensive network of shared paths, on-road bike lanes, and quiet residential streets ideal for cycling, which makes getting around by bike as easy and convenient as getting around by car. The City actively promotes cycling as a means of recreation and transport through a variety of targeted programs.

TravelSmart workplaces

The City of Stirling's Workplace Travel Plan supports its staff to use public and active transport more often. The Council's Travel Smart Officer can help other businesses to develop Workplace Travel Plans for their staff.

TravelSmart schools

The City of Stirling can help schools to develop a School Travel Plan – a package of actions that can be implemented by the school, the parents, and the children themselves with assistance from the City. Over time, the School Travel Plan will help to create a safer environment with fewer cars, and increase the number of children who walk and cycle to school.

Cycling for Pleasure

There are many opportunties in and around the City of Stirling to enjoy a leisurely bike ride in a beautiful setting. The Cty provides maps of recreational paths in both it's own LGA and surrounding areas.

Women on Wheels
