MELBOURNE'S cycling fashion will be pedalling up the runway as part of the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival's cultural program.

To be launched next week, the program includes 77 events celebrating Melbourne art, design and lifestyle through fashion.

Lara McPherson, one of those behind the bike runway, said Melbourne had a great bike and fashion culture.

"We get really excited about seeing everyday people looking great riding a bike," she said.

"It's quite a Melbourne aesthetic."

Ms McPherson said bike riders were encouraged to don their best duds and cycle down the runway at the event.

Other highlights in the cultural program include a Grace Kelly exhibition at the Bendigo Art Gallery, a fashion photography exhibit at ACMI and home-making workshops at QV Square.
